I have always had a strong love for photography - it is rare that you will catch me without my cameras - which was why I decided to turn what was a hobby into a full time career. I have been shooting weddings, portraits, christenings and other special occasions since 2000.

My background has always involved photography - I specialised in photography throughout College and University then worked for the television industry for 8 years at Channel 4 and ITV - setting up shots, directing and co-ordinating - always behind the camera!

Last year I furthered my training with a six month course in Social Photography at the nationally recognised Norwich School of Photography. The school is the leading training centre for Wedding and Portrait photography in the UK and the course is recognised and recommended by the Master Photographers Association. I have also furthered my love for photojournalism styles (portraying a story of the day rather than forced and formal images) by attending various contemporary wedding photography workshops.

In 2003 I went through the wonderful and traumatic experience of getting married, so have a good understanding of the whole wedding process from both sides! On your special day, I can be as unobtrusive as you like, but always guarantee my personal attention - from the initial consultation to the delivery of the final album.

For portrait sessions I can work in a dedicated studio, on location or preferably at your home. I specialise (and love) working with children and can shoot in a variety of styles, from formal to contemporary.

I hope you like the examples of my work on this web site, if you would like to see my full portfolio or meet for a no-obligation chat, then please give me a call on 01508 471898 or 07771 800838, email me at kate@kateevansphotography.co.uk, or use the form on the Contact Me page.
